The name BERYL comes from the Greek word beryllos, which refers to a precious blue-green sea colored water stone. Colored gemstones are graded using the four Cs of Connoisseurship; Color, Cut, Clarity and Crystal.
The last C, crystal, denotes Transparency, our Core Value. For example, a fine Emerald which belongs to the Beryl family of gemstones must possess a high degree of transparency to be considered a top gem.

VIDAK RADONJIC
Vidak is a seasoned investment management executive with a dedication for innovation. Following roles at prominent investment banks such as UBS and Morgan Stanley, where he contributed to their Emerging Markets Research & Trading units, he founded a fintech company specializing in intelligent analytics for the hedge fund industry.
In 2004, Vidak founded The Beryl Consulting Group, primarily advising family offices on alternative investment allocations. With a diverse skill set spanning alternative investment assets, he served on several investment committees. He possesses extensive expertise in launching investment management ventures and has invested across a spectrum of strategies, including long-short equities, credit, event driven, distressed, emerging markets, volatility arbitrage and global macro. He has conducted due diligence on thousands of managers, resulting in multi-billion dollar in allocations since the early 2000s. As a result, he and his firm earned recognition, with Pensions & Investments recognizing The Beryl Consulting Group as one of the premiere Alternative Investment Consultants in 2010/11.
Vidak serves as both the founder and visionary of the global alternative investments conference, Beryl Elites. An esteemed guest speaker on global financial markets, industry sectors, and geopolitics, he has been featured on prominent platforms such as Bloomberg TV, CCTV, and i24 News. Vidak’s insights have been cited in Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Pensions & Investments, The New York Times, Business Week, Institutional Investor, Herald Tribune, and Asian Investor. Fluent in multiple languages, he holds two Masters degrees from Columbia University School of International & Public Affairs and Pace University Lubin School of Business.
GREG VAN INWEGEN, PH.D
Greg is a former Global Head of Quantitative Research and Asset Allocation at Citi Global Wealth Management and Vice Chairman of the Global Investment Committee. Greg was Chief Investment Risk Officer at BNY Mellon’s Fund of Hedge Funds unit. Prior to that he held Director of Research positions at Rydex Investments and Bankers Trust/Deutsche Asset Management, and was a VP in research at Verizon pension fund's asset management team.
Greg received an MS and Phd in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, an SM in Management from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BS from the Haas School, University of California at Berkeley.
Greg has published many academic, practitioner research and thought leadership pieces. He serves on the Board of Directors at the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (Q-Group) and is an honorary Board Member at the Society of Quantitative Research.
